Monument built for soldiers killed in WW II
The monument has been mentioned in part of natural sights because it's located on Mt. Kosmaj, but it deserves space on pages about history sights as well.
Although it has been build during Communist period of Serbian history (part that became interesting for criticism and disputing) it can not be denied that the monument is symbol of this area - very easy recognized from a distance. When the lightning of monument was functioning (till 1999.) it could be seen from some part of a Belgrade when the night was clear.
It was built at '70s years of the last century and dedicated to the soldiers of Partisan division formed on Kosmaj who were killed during the war.
Monument is interesting as architect work - huge dimensions, unusual shape, no details at all (pure concrete with still visible marks of the wooden boards which had shaped it). Let say it's worth seeing.
